We *can* train machines to exhibit novel, adaptive behaviours... in contexts where there's a clear 'win condition', like 'completing a defined task' or 'surviving'. RtDL added the fact Parasol's regular swing releases water droplets, so it can douse fires like Ice and Sir Not Appearing in This Game, Water. Wheel has a lot of i-frames while moving, so you can totally tank a volcano eruption if you race to win! The very rare instance that the Ninja Water Gun sees actual usage in solving a puzzle, even if the puzzle is just dousing some lava blocks~ The eels lunge out on their own, regardless of Kirby's interference. It's them trying to bite you that causes them to bite their tongue, stunning them so you can suck tongue and commit Kirby crimes of the highest degree. That Waddle Dee has some freaken grip to hold on and yank up an entire island from the lava while being Hypernova'd. Cupie has arms, they're just the Kirby/Waddle Dee-type rounded nubs.

i wonder if invincibility guy meant hypernova had a unique screen re lava ice cream: i got these weird m&m cookie ice cream sandwiches and the vanilla between the cookies is like super hyper ultra elmusified or something and remains the same whip cream but harder texture regardless of temperature and it's creepy. It's 109 out that stuff should be a mess in the bag gameboy was 8 bit. the 90s were weird to link bit number to complexity tbh, what still mattered more then was efficiency and stuff. 4 bit computers don't really have enough bits to address memory and so they're usually limited to things like calculators or microwave timers. The gameboy and games even going back to the first generation have graphics and stuff to load, so need the extra bits to set flags to address ram and what to do with it. The gameboy used a version of something like the z80 which was like the cpu in the colecovision or zx spectrum and similar machines. you also need to remember the gameboy released like 6 years into the NES's lifetime, which was enough time for a NES to scale down to that size. And a lot of the technological limits for it i think had to do with screen technology, not really what the cpu was limited by at the time.
